Chester Machine Tools Ltd, the Cheshire and Midlands based supplier of conventional and CNC machinery, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Established in 1992 by original founder and current managing director Michael O’Hare, the company originally focussed on small machines for the hobby market and has since grown to become a leading provider of milling and drilling machines, vertical machining centres, lathes and turning centres, horizontal and vertical boring machines, surface and bench grinders and sawing equipment. Operating from its expanded Hawarden head offices, Chester also has a factory and additional new showroom in Burntwood Staffordshire, employs almost 30 staff and has an extensive network of customers serving education, manufacturing and industry, mining and oil and gas sectors globally.

Looking to the future, Mr O’Hare commented: “The past 25 years’ growth and success has been built on the expertise and support of our suppliers, customers and staff. We look forward to serving our customers in the UK and overseas markets over the next quarter of a century with a growing portfolio of high quality, cost-effective machinery.”

As well as its own range of Chester machine tools, the ISO9001 accredited company has also grown through the acquisition in recent years of the Kitchen Walker, Scot Urquhart and Uniprize brands enabling them to offer a wider range of products and services to its customers.
