Universal Robots, the worldwide leading provider of collaborative robots (cobots), will use Robotics and Automation (Coventry – 29-30th October 2019) to showcase, for the first time in the UK, its latest cobot, the UR16e.
Boasting an impressive 16kg payload capability, the UR16e is engineered for carrying heavy end-of-arm tooling and lifting multiple parts in a single pick. This ensures that manufacturers can improve their operations, maximise their throughput and add to the bottom line.
Visitors to Robotics and Automation will witness the 900 mm reach and pose repeatability of +/- 0.05 mm live with real-time demonstrations (stand 422). They will also discover how they can automate jobs using the company’s latest solution. This includes heavy-duty material handling, machine tending as well as those that require high levels of precision such as, packaging and screw and nut driving jobs. Attendees will hear how they can relieve their workforce of tedious tasks and redeploy their expertise where it will have the biggest impact on production, crucially reducing manufacturing cycles and accelerating time-to-market.
Engineered with Universal Robots patented technology, the UR16e comprises an intuitive 3D-interface, allowing the existing workforce to quickly set-up the system. This ensures seamless integration with minimal downtime. The lightweight design ensures that the system is space saving, offers improved capacity management and is flexible to adapt to production line requirements of companies of all sizes.
The UR16e builds on the success of the company’s extensive e-Series family, which offers manufactures greater production management. Most notably, the range is supported by the Universal Robots+ ecosystem, offering these businesses a catalogue of certified end-effectors, accessories and SW solutions. This provides flexible deployment across a diverse set of applications.
“At Universal Robots we continue to push the boundaries in next generation collaborative automation. Robotics and Automation is the ideal platform to unveil our game changing system for the first time in the UK. We are excited to demonstrate first-hand how our most advanced solution to date can help local manufacturers to do more, enhance their competitive edge and future-proof their business,” says Mark Gray, UK Sales Manager at Universal Robots.
