Three new ‘UK’ machining cell launches and the first showcase of HK Technologies’ latest 3D printing, EDM and laser marking technology will be the main highlights of the Engineering Technology Group’s Open House in October (2nd-3rd).

Over 150 industry delegates are expected to attend the two-day ‘Discover Turnkey Excellence’ event at its Wellesbourne Headquarters, with the emphasis on highlighting new advancements in CNC machining and additive manufacturing as more manufacturers explore bespoke production solutions.

They will be able to get a first-look at live production demonstrations on the new Quaser UX500 twin pallet machine (with 15k to 24k rpm spindle), the Nakamura MX100 (a fusion between a 5-axis machining centre and a lathe) and the bavius TR80 Machining Centre, which offers dynamic 5-axis simultaneous machining on steel and titanium.

Following the recent acquisition of HK Technologies, ETG has added several new ranges to its portfolio and these will also be on display, including Markforged and 3D Systems for 3D printing/additive manufacturing and Mitsubishi and OPS Ingersoll with their latest EDM offerings.

“This will be our biggest Open House yet and a perfect way to celebrate 25 years in business,” explained Martin Doyle, Managing Director of the Engineering Technology Group.

“Over the last twelve months, we have seen demand for turnkey solutions hit record highs, with customers choosing to ‘bespoke’ their machines through additional automation, high-performance probes and CAD/CAM software.”

He continued: “Discover Turnkey Excellence puts all of the technology we offer under one roof, including three new UK firsts and HK Technology’s extensive range of 3D printing/additive manufacturing and EDM solutions.

“It’s important that we get the message across that ETG is more than just a supplier of machines. We evaluate your requirements, design the best solution, tailor the package, implement the cell and then continue to support you when it’s up and running.

“All of this ensures our customers enjoy precision performance, greater productivity and the opportunity to reduce costs.”

Engineering Technology Group brings together the strengths of the world’s most advanced manufacturers of high technology machine tools, automation and workholding systems to deliver the best metal cutting solutions. In addition to the new launches and extended product ranges, the two-day Open House will also feature live demonstrations of a Chiron DZ15 machining cell, an ABB FlexloaderTM SC3000 cell with vision system and a Bridgeport Hardinge XR1000 with automation.

Experts from ETG will be on hand throughout to answer technical questions and to discuss the design of future turnkey solutions.

Martin concluded: “We are looking forward to welcoming existing and new clients, who are keen to see how next generation CNC machining, 3D printing/additive manufacturing and EDM technology can boost their businesses.”
