As part of its aggressive growth strategy, Quickgrind has now expanded its team with the appointment of Mark Aspinall. Mark has joined the Tewkesbury cutting tool manufacturer as the new Technical Support Manager for the North West.
The new position has been created by Quickgrind to enhance the company’s client support and service network as it continues its unparalleled growth trajectory in all regions of the UK. Mark has more than 30 years of manufacturing experience, moving from an apprentice toolmaker and CNC machinist through positions with prominent aerospace manufacturers such as BAE Systems and Safran Nacelles. Mark’s career has evolved down the years, taking in positions as a shop floor machinist and toolmaker to manufacturing engineer as well as leadership roles. For the last three years, Mark has put this experience into training apprentices at Training 2000Ltd.
Commenting on his recent appointment at Quickgrind, Mark says: “I have spent much of my career in technical aerospace roles and also leadership and training positions. The opportunity to join Quickgrind gives me the opportunity to work closely with industry leading innovative aerospace businesses in the North West and Wales as well as manufacturers from all other industry sectors. The attraction of working with Quickgrind lies in more than the groundbreaking tooling solutions. Quickgrind is rapidly expanding, it is extremely forward thinking and they have huge plans for the future. The opportunity to be part of this future was too good to pass.”
Echoing this sentiment, Managing Director at Quickgrind, Mr Ross Howell said: “Our aims are to provide technical manufacturing solutions for our clients, and having an aerospace engineer with decades of experience is a huge benefit to our business. Furthermore, as an educator of apprentices, Mark’s ability to communicate the technical merits of our ‘Total Solution Engineering’ will benefit both manufacturers and Quickgrind alike. Unlike other cutting tool manufacturers, our philosophy is to nurture partnerships based on mutually beneficial goals – we are not here to just sell product. This is where the experience of an engineer like Mark, perfectly fits our blueprint for success. The appointment of Mark will underpin our aims to grow the business in the North West and Wales whilst enhancing our technical support network. With our new technical centre in Tewkesbury, all our engineers now have the facility to work even closer with clients to test, trial and develop technical solutions for end users.”
