Precision Micro — Europe’s leading supplier of photo chemical etching — will be exhibiting at the 18th edition of the Precision Fair, Veldhoven, the Netherlands between 14-15 November 2018.

Building on its successful attendance at the Fair over the past ten years, Precision Micro will once again showcase its market-leading photo chemical etching service, with a particular focus on its propriety processes for hard-to-machine, high performance metals. This year the company will also unveil its new brand identity following a recent £22.5m private equity backed management buyout (MBO) from global aerospace, defence, and energy group Meggitt PLC.

Operating from its state-of-the-art processing plant in Birmingham, UK, Precision Micro manufactures more than 50 million high-precision metal components each year for major global manufacturing customers across multiple markets. Its etching process provides a cost-effective alternative to traditional sheet metalworking when machining precision parts from thin gauge metals.

Working to micron accuracy, its components enable next-generation aircraft engines, zero-emission vehicle technology, surgical instruments, titanium implants, a wide range of consumer electronics, safety-critical vehicle ABS braking systems and premium interior trim for brands including Rolls-Royce, Mercedes, Jaguar and Bentley.

With offices in the Netherlands and Germany, the company has seen a huge uptake in demand for its services from these countries in recent years, and sales engineers from both territories will be in attendance at booth 11 to discuss how photo etching can solve a range of engineering challenges.
