A number of leading suppliers from across the UK sheet metal industry are set to host an event dedicated to new technology that can facilitate the implementation of Industry 4.0, at Yamazaki Mazak’s European Technology Centre, Worcester.
Running from 29th-30th November, the ‘Sheet Metal 4.0’ event will see a selection of companies and industry experts come together to showcase technology which can unlock the next generation of sheet-metal production as part of a connected factory infrastructure. Organisers include tooling specialists, Mate Tooling Solutions; CADCAM software market leaders, Radan; sheet metal supplier and service-provider, Press-Form; as well as used machine suppliers, JTES; and MSS Lasers, specialists for NitroCube nitrogen generators.
Thanks to the collaboration between these prominent suppliers, there will be a number of sheet metal cutting and peripheral machines on display to explore, along with technical presentations, machine demonstrations and factory tours running throughout the day.
Visitors to the event will have the chance to experience a selection of Mazak’s solutions in live-cutting action under one roof, including the OPTIPLEX 3015 DDL, SPACE GEAR-U44 and OPTIPLEX NEXUS 3015 FIBER 3kW laser processing machines.
The laser machines will be set-up to work alongside a variety of systems from the exhibiting partners, including bending, laser marking, N2 generation, tooling technology and next generation CADCAM software. This will give visitors a tangible insight into the efficiency benefits that can be achieved via a sheet metal processing cell fully integrated in line with Industry 4.0 design principals.
Those attending the event will also be able to experience Mazak’s MAZATROL PreviewG laser processing operating software, and new SMART BOX – which allows critical production data to be securely captured and transferred from the factory floor to the office for analysis. As such, customers can achieve improved connectivity, greater productivity and reduced downtime.
Ian White, General Sales Manager for Laser at Yamazaki Mazak UK, commented: “Sheet Metal 4.0 is a great opportunity for experts in the industry to come together and showcase the next generation of sheet metal cutting solutions, while also demonstrating how the integration of Industry 4.0 concepts can help to improve productivity and drive profit.
“For Mazak, the last two years have been record breakers for UK laser sales, and 2017 has seen the team continue to expand and form a new regional sales area in the Midlands, as well as the launch of a number of new products into the UK market.
“We look forward to seeing current and potential customers at the event, and will have our application engineers and members of the UK Laser Sales Team on-hand to answer any questions and offer advice.”
