Five months after launching Oracle – its new, fully-automated Cutting Fluid Management System into the market, Jemtech reports that sales, enquiries and leads have ‘gone through the roof’.

Back in late August 2016, Jemtech, the UK’s leading cutting fluid solutions provider and supplier of Blaser Swisslube metal working fluids to UK and Irish component manufacturers, launched Oracle – its new, automated Cutting Fluid monitoring, management, conditioning and reporting system to over 140 visitors at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.

This event, followed by a series of smaller ‘launches’ that took place at a number of Jemtech’s Technical Partner Open Houses in Autumn 2016, provided the ideal platform to promote and educate precision component manufacturers on what was, and is, billed as a ‘Factory of the Future’ technology.

Now, five months down the line, Jemtech has reported that sales and enquiries for its Oracle product have grown exponentially and that Oracle installations (to date) include a number of high profile aerospace, motorsport, hydraulic tooling, software development, education and R & D customers.

To meet the growing demand for Oracle Systems, Jemtech has made (and will continue to make) a number of strategically-led improvements and initiatives designed to:

  • help drive sales,
  • integrate (seamlessly) the building, assembly, delivery, installation and servicing of Oracle units,
  • ensure ongoing and customer-focused product development.

The first of these, already announced at the time of the launch, was to create a new company to manage the anticipated growth in demand.

The new enterprise – Oracle Fluid Management Systems Ltd – was created in Autumn 2016 and, since 3rd January 2016, is operating from its own dedicated facility based at Holly Farm Business Park in Honiley in the West Midlands – with excellent transport links that enable easy access to customers and technical partners alike.

Explains Steve Coull, Jemtech’s CEO and pioneer of Oracle Fluid Management Systems: “Oracle Fluid Management Systems remains part of the Jemtech Group, with the two companies being intrinsically linked – sharing business communications, systems and processes etc. However, to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiencies, Oracle Fluid Management Systems is responsible for product design, development, manufacture, service and support. Jemtech meanwhile continues to manage Oracle sales and marketing activities.

“As part of this process the company operates from its own premises with Adam Land heading up operations assisted by Robert Foster (responsible for production, installations and service). Both Adam and Robert (ex-MTC employees) were involved with the Oracle project from the outset.

Since being located at the new facility, sales of Oracle Systems have continued to accelerate, and enquiries have been gathering pace too…and not just from within the UK.

Comments Adam Land, Product Development Manager: “Interest in Oracle has come from far and wide – with enquiries coming from as far afield as Asia, America, and South Africa as well as from within mainland Europe.” He continues, “It’s hectic really, and at this moment in time we are focused on UK enquiries. However, we are in discussions with a potential partner to handle the global expansion, and expect to be making an announcement about this in the very near future.”

Although only launched in August 2016 there are already a number of product developments already in the pipeline that are intended to increase Oracles’ appeal and take-up amongst precision component manufacturers. These upgrades and improvements will be available to current Oracle users and will ensure that they are using the very latest versions.”

These include the Oracle ‘multi-sump’ option (effectively one Oracle unit being able to serve a number of machine tools), and the creation of both a Neat Cutting Oil and an Industrial Oil system.

Concludes Steve Coull: “It’s been a whirlwind few months and demand has exceeded our own (high) expectations. The fact that, in such a short space of time, we have so many world-class installations and customer reference sites, demonstrates the efficacy of Oracle Fluid Management Systems, and the dedication and hard work of both the Oracle and Jemtech teams.”
