Using an igus® low friction tribofilament and combining it with one of our high strength 3D printing materials, we are now able to offer exceptional wear resistance alongside other mechanical and functional properties.
In what is known as two-component printing, similar filaments can be securely bonded together, connecting the two “phases”. This enables two very strong components to be made even stronger.
In this week’s “video of the week”, you can see the black P150 or P2190 material, which are our structural materials, adding additional strength to the component. These highly technical materials also provide low friction, giving you the best of both worlds.
