With the ByTower Compact automation solution, the productivity of a Bystronic laser cutting system can be significantly increased without occupying much space. Thanks to its small footprint, the ByTower Compact opens up lightly manned manufacturing for any size of company.
Not every sheet metal processing company has the space required to install new systems or expand existing ones. With the new ByTower Compact, Bystronic offers its customers the ideal solution: Thanks to its small footprint, the new loading and unloading system with integrated storage opens up lightly manned or unmanned production with automated cassette changing for any business size. It automates the laser cutting system’s workflow and allows significantly more parts to be cut per unit of time.
Thanks to its smart design, the ByTower Compact allows sheet metal processing companies to increase the productivity of their Bystronic laser cutting system without requiring much space. This is possible because the system is installed vertically directly above the shuttle table. The storage tower height can be tailored to every requirement to make optimum use of the available space. The system supports two different configurations allowing metal sheets to be stored directly at the machine, regardless of whether they are delivered with or without a wooden pallet. This means that the raw material is available immediately. The ByTower Compact is also excellently suited as a buffer storage facility where materials are prepared for unmanned shifts during the night or over weekends. Large series can thus also be processed outside of normal working hours, with the ByTower Compact taking care of the material handling. Materials for upcoming jobs can be conveniently prepared without interrupting the machine’s running processes.
Additional advantages of the ByTower Compact:
The ByTower Compact offers storage space for a wide range of material types and thicknesses as well as for the storage of the cut parts after processing.
Thanks to its compact, vertical design, the available floor space is used as efficiently as possible. It automates the workflow and permits lightly manned production.
Reduced set-up times and an optimal material flow ensure maximum utilization of the laser cutting system – because sheet metal is stored exactly where it is needed: at the machine.
