Nanofabrica — manufacturer of the world’s first micron-level additive manufacturing technology —  is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the TCT Award for innovation in Hardware (Polymer Systems).

On 25th September, the third annual TCT Awards ceremony was held at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, U.K. The awards ceremony runs during the illustrious TCT exhibition and conference, and is a place where industry leaders celebrate the innovators, technologies, and collaborators behind the best examples of Additive Manufacturing (AM), 3D Printing, and Design and Engineering across the globe. At the event, Nanofabrica won the coveted TCT Award for innovation in polymer system AM hardware for its micron-level additive manufacturing technology, beating off stiff competition from numerous heavy-weights in the sector.

This year, the TCT Awards was hosted by Georgie Barrat, a technology journalist and TV presenter in the U.K., and guests celebrated into the early hours, after a night of well-deserved wins and commendations. Following the 15 competitive award categories, the TCT Group (which runs the ceremony) inducted another industry giant of additive manufacturing into the TCT Hall of Fame — Gideon Levy — for his contribution to the AM industry.

Nanofabrica was up against high calibre competition, and were chosen as winners by an independent AM expert panel that decides on all the category winners and runners up. The Hardware awards celebrate the very best of enabling AM technologies, and are split into two distinct areas, the first of which is polymer systems, the other non-polymer systems. The expert panel are looking for 3D printing or additive manufacturing technologies which push the boundaries of polymer processing, bringing innovative improvements or entirely new technologies to the table.

Jon Donner, CEO at Nanofabrica says. “This has been quite a year for Nanofabrica since we announced the commercial launch of our ground-breaking micro additive manufacturing technology, for the first time bringing the benefits of additive manufacturing to the micro and precision engineering community. We are delighted to have been recognized for our efforts in promoting innovation in this exciting and dynamic sector at the TCT Awards ceremony, and we also appreciate the enormous wave of enthusiasm and support we are receiving from across global industry as the disruptive nature of our technology is beginning to be appreciated far and wide.”

Tovit Neizer, VP Business Development at Nanofabrica continues. “It is humbling to be in receipt of the TCT Award when we see the number and stature of AM innovators we were up against in our category. For us, the honour of receiving the award is enhanced as it reinforces the realisation throughout the whole Nanofabrica team that we are truly innovating in a sector that is so dynamic and which drives the future of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0.”

Nanofabrica invites anyone interested in learning more about its micro AM technology solution to reach out and discuss applications with the company’s team of experts.
